At the University of Southampton, anyone can become a rocket scientist

Here at Southampton University Spaceflight Society (SUSF), we run various projects, tutorials, outreach events, and social activities; all with the aim of expanding our engagement in spaceflight

 

In July 2023, SULRE, the liquid engine team at SUSF, tested our 1.5kN bipropellant engine at Airborne Engineering in Wescott Space Cluster, winning the Race-2-Space competition! Take a look at the video below, to see a 10-second hot fire – which was the longest hot fire of a bipropellant engine by a UK student team!
