About Us - Southampton University Spaceflight Society

Southampton University Spaceflight Society (SUSF) is a student-led engineering society that empowers students to explore spaceflight through team projects, industry outreach, technical workshops, space events and competitions, .
Open to all disciplines and experience levels, SUSF inspires the next generation of innovators in the space industry.

Objective 1

Promote, educate and inform students and external educational institutions about: Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) and space related disciplines.

Objective 2

Develop, maintain and advance student managed space engineering projects, with the aim to partake in competitions, research initiatives and design challenges.

Objective 3

Encourage innovation and advancement in student space technologies in the United Kingdom.

All our members are part of a team and are the day to day or SUSF, they develop the hardware and software that defines the society.

All our teams engineer solutions to compete in events, break records or develop innovative systems.

Workshops

All our members are welcome to attend the workshops we host which teach practical and academic skills, so that anyone can become a rocket scientist.

Outreach

We arrange and take part in visits, talks and programs integrating SUSF into the wider spaceflight community.
